EPF: How to Withdraw Money From Your Account Online


EPF withdrawal is possible online through the website of Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). Employees’ Provident Fund – commonly known as EPF – is a mandatory contribution provident fund that provides savings, pension and insurance benefits to employees in India. All regular workers in the country are required to contribute to the fund along with 12 per cent of their basic pay (and dearness allowance, where applicable) every month as per the norm. The contribution is saved in the EPF account of the employees, and the entire corpus contributed – with equal contribution from the employer and interest – can be withdrawn at the time of retirement. However, EPFO ​​has made provision for partial withdrawal in certain cases, such as medical illness, marriage, calamity and house renovation.   1. Enter your Universal Account Number (UAN) and Password as well as enter the captcha. and then, click on sign in Button.

  2. Now, click on online services from the top menu and then . click on Claim (Form-31,19,10C & 10D) the option.

  3. Verify the details that appear in the online claim form.

  4. Once verified, enter your bank account number.

  5. click on Please attest it button and then click on the Yes button available on the certificate of undertaking.

  6. Now you will be asked to proceed with the claim by clicking on proceed online Claim.

  7. Now you have to enter whether you are applying for advanced PF withdrawal or not in the claim form. This will show a drop-down menu titled ‘Purpose for which advance is required’ to select from the available objectives for your withdrawal requirement.

  8. Enter the required amount in the following text box, and then enter your mailing address in the Employee Address section.

  9. Click on Certificate and submit your request.

Once submitted, the EPFO ​​site may ask you to submit the scanned documents for the purpose for which you have filled the claim form. The request will need to be approved by your employer in order to proceed with the withdrawal. Also, it may take 15-20 days for you to get the money in the bank account linked to your EPF account.
